Hello, my name is Rob Gilbert and I'm a fourth year MEng Civil Engineering student at the University of Warwick, UK. I took up photography in summer 2006 when I invested in a Nikon D50 digital SLR camera. Since then photography has been a big part of my life.

I'll be learning film photography soon, but most of the time I shoot digital and process my photos in Adobe Lightroom.

I would consider myself a rural/urban landscape photographer but I don't limit myself to just those. Any opportunity will interest me.

As an active exec member of the Photographic Society at my university, I help people 'learn photography' by organising trips, gig training and exhibitions.

Photography as a career? Maybe. Civil engineering is pretty cool too though.
